From an early age Anthony was mesmerised by drawing and colouring. He left the Netherlands for London in 1959 in those day’s he was inspired by Impressionism and Expressionism. London gave him new inspirations especially the oil painting techniques of Turner.

In the seventies he surprised the British press and Art lovers with his experimental action painting, using a double- barrelled shot gun and cartridges filled with oil paint that he fired and blasted at his canvasses. These days his technique and inspirations are somewhat more recognisable and has become more classical. His main medium is oil paint, which he uses in layers finishing with glazes, often working over printed matter.

His renewal capacity has followed Anthony Krikhaar over the years, just as his brilliant use of colour and the high level of vitality that he is able to put in his work.

He exhibits on an International level i.e. London, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, New York, Miami, Singapore and Bali, and his paintings are appreciated by private collectors as well as organisations.
